In our daily life, we always turn on the faucet to wash every morning, but many people neglect an important thing, that is, the overnight water in the faucet. The overnight water in the faucet should not be directly used for washing and gargling, even if it is boiled, it will not work! Under normal circumstances, you should turn on the faucet in the morning and drain water for about 1 minute before use. The water can be used to wash the toilet, water flowers, and wash the floor. So why can't the overnight water from the faucet be used directly?
1. The tap may contain legionella bacteria that can cause pneumonia overnight
Legionella pneumonia is the most serious form of SARS, with a fatality rate of 45%. According to the research, Legionella can be separated from the tap water pipes of lakes, hotels, hospitals and families. Therefore, it is very likely that Legionella exists in the overnight water of faucets. Once people directly eat the overnight water, they are prone to suffer from Legionella pneumonia.
2. Long term drinking of overnight water in tap water may cause lead poisoning
The water in the tap water pipe will react with the tap or the metal in the water pipe, forming metal polluted water. Moreover, the microorganisms in the tap water will also produce substances harmful to human health after overnight reproduction. If the tap used is a low-quality tap, it is more likely to cause the lead content in the water to exceed the standard.
It is well known that excessive lead entering the human body will destroy the brain nervous tissue of the human body, cause insufficient oxygen supply, cause brain tissue damage, and thus lead to anemia, headache, sleepiness and other symptoms. What's more, entering children or pregnant women will cause irreparable damage to minor children, including developmental delay, deformity, premature birth and other phenomena.
Therefore, when we get up and use the tap every day, we'd better turn on the tap and put water for one minute to clean up the overnight water, and use buckets to hold the overnight water to avoid waste of resources.
